Craig Williams was re-elected to the Cardiff Councill by a clear majority of Pentyrch voters. Craig received 54.4% of the votes. The results were as follows:

Disruption to Water Supply
Welsh Water will be carrying out some work on the water main supplying the village on 19th of April 2012. The water supply will be off from 09:00 to 16:00 on that day. If you need water during the day, Welsh Water suggest keeping & filling a couple of containers of water before the disruption time.
If the water is cloudy or discoloured after the water is restored, Welsh Water suggest running some water for a couple of minutes until it clears.

Bus Changes- Closure of Westgate Street |

Bus Changes
Westgate Street will be closed for roadway repairs from April 16th for approximately 2 weeks. As a result buses using Westgate street will be diverted. The 136 will operate from Greyfriars Stand GN but will move to the north side stand GH when the south side is closed on Thursday-Saturday evenings.

Pentyrch Murder
Man Remanded in Custody
Bleddyn Rees King, 18, from the Abercynon area, appeared before magistrates in Cardiff on the 30th January 2012. He had been charged with the murder of David Evans who lived at Cefn Bychan, Pentyrch. He was remanded in custody until Wednesday when he will appear before the Cardiff Crown Court.
Police however, still wish to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the events immediately afterwards, or to anyone who may have relevant information, who are asked to contact the incident room Central Police Station on 02920 571530 or Crimestoppers 0800 555111. |

At 3.02 hours on Friday, January 27 following information from the Fire Service, South Wales Police attended a house fire at Cefn Bychan, Pentyrch, Cardiff. The resident of the house, David Evans, sustained fatal injuries. An 18-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of murder. On Sunday, January 29 Police charged an eighteen year old male from the Abercynon area with the murder of Mr David Evans, aged 64. He was due to appear before at Cardiff Magistrates Court on Monday, January 30.
